Best Snow Guarantee in Finland

Enontekiö offers the best guarantee of snow, and indeed the most snow in Finland.
 
The thickness of the snow cover is normally at its greatest around mid-March; a time when Kilpisjärvi boasts an average of 90-100 cm of snow. On average, the first snowfall arrives on 7 October, with permanent snow cover from 27 October. The winter’s snow cover usually melts on average by 30 May.
