The natural wonders of the wilderness of the Arm of Finland

The wilderness region of the Arm of Finland holds a number of unique natural phenomena.
 
Saivaara.  Along the Calotte route, in the Meeko Valley.

Terbmispahta, Meekon pahta, Annjalonji. Pahta means waterfall.

Pihtsusköngäs. One of Finland’s tallest waterfalls, located upstream from Lake Vuomakasjärvi, along the Calotte route.

Somasjärvi ridges and Valtijoki River Valley. A national ridge protection area.

"Great Wall of China". On the northern side of Lake Raittijärvi, a ridge formation reaching as far as the River Valtijoki delta.

Isokurkkio and Munnikurkkio. The largest waterfalls of the Lätäseno River.
