The crystal clear lakes and rivers of Enontekiö attract the most experienced fishers to try their luck.
Abundant waterways to suit all tastes can be found in the area, from the tiniest of streams and the swiftest of rivers to the largest of lakes.

Nowadays, both ice-fishing and angling are considered as Everyman’s Rights. For other fishing methods all recreationists need to buy landsowner’s permit and fishermen between the age of 18 and 64 must pay an annual state fishing fee.
