Let the Arctic countryside touch you

In Enontekiö the Arctic and untouched countryside takes centre stage. Barren growing conditions give the right of survival to only the toughest and most resilient species – those who have chosen the kilometre-high summit kingdom to be their home.

A nature excursion is worth starting from the Fell Lapland Visitor Centre in Hetta or the Kilpisjärvi Nature House, which is the gateway to the large fell region. The route networks of the Malla Nature Reserve and the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park provide unforgettable views of the countryside.

The northern natural cycle also creates pure nutrition. Arctic charr and other Lappish fishes, willow grouse, reindeer, berries and herbs taste best when savoured at their source, as part of a Lappish buffet serving.
